He hides in his room all day until he had to go to the bathroom. To his surprise, Bandit was in the bathroom whimpering from the thunder. Daniel realized that Bandit was scared so he took her to his room to sleep with him. Now Daniel really isn;t afraid of anything.

Evaluation:
This is a sweet book that I would like to have in my class library. Everyone is afraid of something and to share a story with the class about a boy their age overcoming on of his fears would be very encouraging and can even lead to classroom discussion over fears. There are a variety of lessons that can be planned around this such as students writing their own story (or illustrating one) about one of their fears, or even constructing a graph of the fears in class. This book is very relatable and easy for students to see themselves in the main character.
